the picture heavy tattoo update

28 03 2007

well… i’m off to visit people i love for my birthday.
and a lot of people i love will unfortunately be left out of that visit…

but soon after the summer i will be able to travel more again.
*sigh*

sucks… but the shop is way too busy during the summer.
i mean… it’s been so busy lately that i can’t imagine it getting way busier.
but i have been told it’s way worse during the summer.

good and bad news.
good for the money makin’ aspect.
bad for my wrists and back.

oh well.

here’s a picture update:

there were more remnants of clovers and shamrocks… but i think for reasons other than st. patrick’s day.
at least that is what i would like to believe… for real irish pride.

and then there was a guy from latvia (it’s in europe) that came in with a lot of buddies wanting this cross.

and a girl wanted a quetzal, the guatemalan bird, in her mother’s honor. although her mother would kill her if she found out the girl had gotten a tattoo.

hello kitty on the hip. nuff said.

nautical star and initials. woo hoo!

hibiscus stuff.

this guy had his testicles pierced 4 times or maybe 5… ACK!!! sounds really painful.

a songwriter. go figure.

tribal moon to match the sun on the other arm. he had me draw it up and he wanted rays.

butterflies… butterflies… butterflies…

a couple of zodiac signs. nice.

and the motherload coolest tattoo i did…
the guy’s name is josh brewer. he had this idea for his name in tag-like lettering and with beer inside of the name with foam and bubbles and such.

ah… so good.

another crazy week of all kinds off stuff

21 03 2007

last week was the first spring break type week.
there were also a lot of conventions and travelers.
and saturday was st. patrick’s day.
lots and lots of tattoos.
and now… i pierce, so, my percentage went up. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
i did pretty much all the piercings i need to except a tragus, rook and nipples.

i did a lot of tattoos. especially shamrocks.

2 of 5 matching shamrocks on 5 awesome ladies that i did on saturday. they were pretty cool.

i told this guy that this was a bad spot for a tattoo. it won’t last long. some people just don’t listen. but he’s “walking by faith”… ha!

this sunflower was cool. it was in honor of her mother.

and these two sisters got this angel. the other one without the clouds. i thought that was pretty solid. i enjoyed it.

and how awesome is this: to start the day at work today, i had to pay part of my apprenticeship fee and my credit card machine fees (which really wasn’t much, but still)… but i totally made that money in tips by closing time… plus more than double than last week on tuesday.

God is awesome.

and this past weekend i visited casey.
he visited the last two weekends.
last weekend we watched 300 at the IMAX.
if you haven’t seen it… GO ALREADY!!!
and this past weekend we just spent a lot of time together.
but we also got to spend time with wes, derek and brandy.
i also got to talk to his worship pastor, rodney. he’s a pretty cool dude.
brandy and i got to spend some time together chatting. that was awesome.
she’s pretty awesome. i love her thick southern accent.
derek and brandy are getting married on my birthday. i wish i could make it.
casey really has some great friends.

casey is truly the most thoughtful and caring man ever.
he is always concerned about me and my well-being.
and he prays for us all the time.
i love talking to him about everything… he’s encouraging and a great listener.
his advice is sound and his humor is perfect.
he is incredibly attractive… everything about him is.
and i have a good feeling that i will never stop thinking all of this about him.
he’s honest and upfront and i appreciate everything about him.
i never want to take him for granted and i always want to show him that i care deeply for him as well.
i pray that he will always know the love i have for him is unique and unmeasurable.

i want to be a wonderful wife and a wonderful mother someday…
and i can’t wait to share a life with this wonderful man.

last week: busiest week ever

13 03 2007

but first i would like to say that casey never ceases to amaze me.
he’s incredibly encouraging. he’s hilarious. he’s exciting. he’s thoughtful.
and he’s so romantic. i could just melt… all the time.
i don’t deserve this man… yet… i never want to let him go.
and i never will.
i can’t wait until i get to share my life with him.
i want to be a wonderful woman/wife/mother… and all to bring God glory.
i desire our relationship to reflect the love of our Heavenly Father each moment of every day.

*sigh*

man… God is faithful.
i don’t know if it’s just starting to pick up for the summertime… but last week was a goooooood week.
let’s just say that with the money i saved up and the money i made this past week,
i can now take care of the financial resposibility i mentioned before and i have some extra monies.
(that i can use on OTHER financial responsibilities that have come up.
haha! what a vicious cycle…
it will end REEEEEAAAALLL soon. thank GOD!
and i can now call myself a joyful giver. it’s not an issue for me anymore.
i understand that it’s a privilege… which is prolly why i’m doing fine.)
but anyway, as i was saying…
i made better on my wednesday and thursday than i did on friday.
and saturday was swamped. i at at 11am, started tattoing at around 1pm,
got to eat a slice of pizza at 8:30pm, and then got to eat again at around 9:40pm.
ben said that weekdays in summer are pretty much like that.
and the weekends are busier.
which seems crazy to me… but…. i’m stoked.

here’s some stuff that i did.

some guys chest. it was his first tattoo. i have no idea what it was for and now i wish i would have asked.

“i am what i am”… although it’s funny… the guy was retired USMC. he loved popeye’s philosophy and i loved the cartoon growing up. everyone wins.

this tattoo is about 2 to 2.5 inches wide.

and this was a tribute to a father that passed away about 2 years ago. the lady’s name was nicole. and her husband’s name was merit. i don’t know if that is how you spelled either, but they were amazing people. we talked about God and faith the whole time. it was rejuvenating and comforting. she was in her late 40s/early 50s it was her ninth tattoo.
