purpose: day 11
“So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God–all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.” -Romans 5:11 (NLT)
knowing and loving God is our greatest privilege,
and being know and loved is God’s greatest pleasure.
“You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.” -Ephesians 4:4-6 (The Message)
think about your best friend.
you pretty much do everything together.
people sometimes say that you act, talk, and dress alike.
you are connected with a very strong bond… almost unbreakable.
and you know a lot about each other…
sometimes maybe even more than your own blood relatives would know.
there isn’t anything you wouldn’t do for your best friend and vice versa.
God wants to be BFF:
-through constant conversation by sharing ALL of your experiences with Him.
-through continual meditation on His word… moment to moment.
worship is a perpetual attitude.
prayer lets you speak to God and meditation lets God speak to you.
both are needed to have deep relationship with God.
both are needed for you to KNOW Him.
