time
“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” -II Peter 3:8-9 (NKJV)
“Don’t overlook the obvious here, friends. With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day. God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change.” -II Peter 3:8-9 (The Message)
wow.
i think sometime we tend to lose sight of why God handles things the way He does.
we are impatient creatures.
in this microwavable world we live in, we need things quicker and efficiency in time is key.
but sometimes i think we get so caught up in life that we miss the most important role we must step up to.
we are accountable to the purpose in which we are appointed to serve.
we were given a mission.
Occupation with self brings distress;
Occupation with others brings discouragement;
Occupation with Christ brings delight.
(read psalm 77)
back to the point…
just because there seems to be a delay in much needed conviction and judgment
does not mean that God is being unfaithful to His beloved children.
He just doesn’t want ANY to PERISH.
He wants all to come to repentance.
and if that means postponing a few events that are destined to happen
for as long as He possibly can
so we can get off our lazy butts and help each other out…
… so be it.
it took Him 120 years before He sent the flood.
He has waited several thousand years before destroying the world with fire.
He is long-suffering.
and i am grateful for that… because i want to see everyone i love in heaven.
everyone of you.
there are great things happening all around me.
and i can’t wait to see the things God has had planned.
it’s going to be beautiful.
so… what are we going to do about that?!
we asians are trained EARLY… i mean… EEEEEAAAARRRLLLYYYYYY…

aww hahahaahhaah
