i remember like it was yesterday…
i woke up.
took a shower.
walked into my fathers room to tell him i was going to the mall.
my father said something about planes crashing.
that was all.
and i left the house.
i got to the mall only to find out it was closed for some reason.
so, i went to OG to pick up my check i think.
it was so quiet… maybe only like 6 tables occupied in the whole restaurant.
but it was time for the lunch rush.
and that’s when i found out what had happened.
and i couldn’t believe that all my father said to me earlier was that some planes crashed.
it was much more than that.

i was at home jsut waking up because i had surgery that week and wasn’t in school and as soon as i got up i saw the planes crashing on tv and freaked out and yelled for my mom but she didnt answer because she was talking to my dad so i was just stuck in my bed not knowing what was going on or what to think or anything
I was in my American Government class (almost ironic?), senior year of high school. Another teacher burst in the door sputtering something where the only intelligble syllables were tv…planes…crash… world trade center…
turn it on just in time to watch the second plane hit live.
Class plan halted and when it was time to change classes, hardly anyone in the hallway was talking, all we wanted to do was get to the next room to watch the news. That was pretty much the pattern the whole school day.
i was in class as well… the principal came on the intercom and said, there has been a horrible incident in NYC, all teachers please turn on your tv for live coverage.. moments later the second plane hit…
a month later i went to nyc…weird to seewhat used to be..
its weird to think its been 4 years already…
