yeah. whatever happened?!

my sister gave me the best birthday gift this year. something i had been asking for. and that thing was understanding what the heck went wrong. why all of the divisions in christianity exist today.
my sister is a carmelite nun. she lives in louisiana in a convent. they have habits like that of monks. they pray all the time. that means they talk to god all freakin day. thats like having your best friend with you all the time to talk to.
in the letter she gave me for my birthday she decided to finally fully explain to me why she became a nun. the important points were that she was praying that in this season (meaning this time we live in, this generation) there would be great revelation. not only for people in general but for the catholic church. that the catholic church would wake back up. that there would be more bible studying. that more people would talk to God. that church would go back to the way that Jesus meant church to be. the last supper. that was what church was about. church is all about fellowship. keeping each other encouraged and prayed for. its your protection from the attack of the enemy. because being a christian is asking for it.
she had all these things she decided to pray for and it all made perfect sense. she said that hopefully with the Vatican II these things would come back into practice.
not all catholics are christian. but then again a lot of catholics know Jesus. and a lot of catholics talk to God. we cant just genralize one religion.
i believe that God reveals Himself regardless of what affiliation. but yes, there is the question of freewill. the question is does the individual acknowledge God for who He is? and that is something people only know in their own heart.

  1. The other day i walked into walmart and a guy saw me and grant and stopped his conversation to hand up a tract. I told him to save it for someone else because i know and love jesus. As i walked away he said “well then why don’t you try living for him?”

  2. So i turned back around and said “excuse me?” and he repeated it. I wish i could say that i handled myself well and explained my beliefs and how they relate to my appearance, but the truth is, i told him to go to hell for judging me. Eh, what do you do?

  3. I know that Jesus died for my sins and that God loves me no matter what. I would die tonight for my beliefs… I just can’t seem to live for them today.

  4. I’m sorry for blowing up your comments thing. I’m on my phone browser, and i can only type so much before it cuts me off. Thus the multiple posts. I love you lorena.

  5. i agree with the christian conflicts/divisions.
has it ever boggled your mind that the most hateful
people claim to love the most loving god?
the prettiest people do the ugliest things

  6. dont worry, tattoos damn you to hell.
ive already gotten that for mine.

  7. what makes these people so pretty? just the fact that they ‘love jesus’?

    …buhlowneee.

it really goes either way, theres good and bad everywhere(just look at the atheists)

  8. i absolutely despise people sometimes.
we are wretched and ugly. we are scared and sketchy.
we like to assume. we are prejudice.
as my pastor said the other day, “when Jesus calls us sheep, He was by no means giving us a compliment.”

if that guy took his own advice and lived for Jesus, he would have seen your heart.
“and you will know them by their fruit…”

  9. and what i mean by “seeing the heart” is not being such surface christians. a lot of people are surface christians. they do what they think is enough. God challenges us to go all out. if you have a best friend, is it because you know their name, where they work and what they do all day? no. its because you talk to them. how are you going to know someone and make accustations if you dont talk to them first? and by talk i mean listen. listening is something we dont do anymore. and that means with God first. geez… i could go on and on…

bottom line. what happened to being transformed. since when do we buy christianity from the freezer section in its new and improved microwave recipe?!! what happened to growing? harvest? marinade? slow-cooking? yeah.

the devil loves a quick and hot meal.

  10. dont worry if you flew off the handle. your indignation took over. God did that too.

    i love you too shauncey.

  11. and ill be joining you guys.

    hahahahahhahah!!!!

  12. yeah… i dont think that people understand that the reason we are beautiful is that God made us the way for a purpose.
    good and bad is everywhere.

i fall flat on my face everyday.
i just try to do it less and less.
